In terms of SEO the most important phase of developing your Website is should be the selection of the most relevant keywords and keyword phrases for your products or services. Before start doing optimization for any website you should do research on your targeted keywords and key phrases. Google keyword research is commonly used tool for keyword analysis.

A targeted keyword phrase is a search term for the user so it may two or more words that you can reasonably expect someone to type into a search engines when they are looking for the products or services.

Keyword Frequency

This refers how many times the keyword repeats in your page. You should not over use your keyword in a single page if you are crossing the frequency limit it’s called Keyword stuffing or Spamming. Since your website might be penalized by Search Engines.

Keyword Density

This refers the number of times your keyword repeats in a page compare to the other words in a page.

Keyword density = Number of times the keyword in a page / Total number of words in a page

(Eg): Your keyword is “House”

Your content is “Buy a new house”

Keyword Density is 25%

Keyword Prominence

This refers, where the keyword appears in a page. Generally Search Engines give high priority to the top portion of the pages only.

Keyword Proximity

Key word proximity refers to the distance in space, as measured in words, between two words or two key phrases. The proximity of a word or phrase in relation to each other and other key phrases is extremely important when determining how to use word combinations in page titles and page content.

Less usage of those words helps to reduce the file size, and increase the speed and relevancy of the search results. As such, always try to utilize keywords instead of stop words as much as possible. Obviously, it perhaps a little more difficult to read, but it is worth the sacrifice, in the cause of trying to obtain a top search engine ranking.

These are the important points need to be focus while on Keyword Research and Analysis.
